The Human Opportunity Initiative

Automate the work. Amplify the human.

AI takes work away from the people who have it, and changes what the people entering work need to know. We are building for both. Nothing here is a proven result; it is a thesis we publish as a draft because that is what it is.

  • Not CSR

Two programmes

Both ends of the same argument.

One group has their work taken and their capacity freed. The other is trying to enter work for the first time. The industry measures neither.

01

Capacity

What happens to the hours AI gives back.

When automation removes work inside an organisation, capacity appears. Most companies spend it once, as a headcount line. The Capacity programme is our thesis and draft framework for measuring what an organisation does with that capacity instead, and putting the number in the board pack next to the hours saved.

02

Pipeline

From Potential to Profession.

AI changes what the people entering work need to know. The Pipeline programme is a designed pathway from graduate to professional: learn, build, experience, earn, grow. Real projects instead of certificates, work before work, and an honest assessment employers can trust.

Human + AI

AI takes the work. What you do with the people is the strategy.

  • Not human versus AI. Human intelligence plus artificial intelligence.
  • AI for the repetitive work, so people are productive at the work that is not.
  • The work that still needs judgement, empathy, creativity, communication and accountability is the work we design for.
  • That is true for the people whose work AI changes, and for the people entering work for the first time.
